Dan & Cindy Caraway are an acoustic duo from Dubuque, Iowa featuring a sparkling blend of guitar and vocals. They perform an eclectic mix of musical styles including jazz, pop and country and put their own unique spin on classic favorites. About Dan...
Dan is an accomplished musician and guitar instructor. He presently teaches classical and finger-style guitar at Grinnell and Cornell Colleges and offers guitar lessons in his home studio. To inquire about guitar lessons, email Dan at dancaraway@yahoo.com.

As a classical guitar artist, he performs with the Eastern Iowa Guitar Trio from Iowa City, Iowa and has recently recorded with Russian guitarist Oleg Timofeyev. Ispaniada was released in 2008 and a seven-disc CD set of traditional Russian 7-string guitar music is in production.

Dan has many years performance experience having played with several bands which cover every genre from 60's British pop to Irish folk music. Besides performing with his wife, Cindy, he is also a member of a favorite local group called The Black Velvet Band. Their CD entitled Hurtsville was released in 2008.

About Cindy...
Cindy is a classically trained singer with a degree in Opera Performance from Cornell College. While opera never truly captured her heart, musical theater did. She spent many years performing on cruise ships and in dinner theaters, theme parks and resorts throught the U.S. and Europe. Blessed with great vocal versitility, she is as comfortable with pop and country music as she is with arias or jazz standards. She and her husband, Dan, perform as an acoustic duo covering various musical styles. You may hear samples of their music on the playlist page.

Cindy is also an award-winning bead artist. Her beadwork has been featured in gallery shows across the U.S. and has appeared in major craft and beadwork magazines. She was recently named one of "America's Best Jewelry Artists" and her work will appear in a book of the same title (to be released in 2010).
